It's been awhile since I posted, I don't have any crafts going on at the moment but felt the need to post anyway. I have been busy gearin up for the Idaho trip, we leave next week {EEEEK} so excited to see family and friends. A really good friend of mine is going to be visiting her family around the same time I am so we have lot's of plans!!! I seriously can't wait.

I have also being dealing with crabby neighbors and their irresponsible kids, hopefully the issue is solved and they will no longer think I am trying to be "hateful"(their word not mine) to them. Anyway they weather here has been beautiful and I am in the mood to paint something, I don't know if I will actually get to it, it I do I will post it ASAP. I hope you all are having a good week and I promise I will work on some crafty posts.

Beary Cute!!

I made this bear hat for Christine from Chrisy Photography to use in some of her shoots, it turned out really cute.

I decided the hat needed a companion, so I made a matching diaper cover.

I LOVE the little pom pom on the butt so friggin cute!

I wasn't sure about the color scheme but once it was done I LOVED it!
I'm thinking about adding a little boy tie to this set what are your thoughts?

PURPLE Elephants on parade!

A month or so ago Micheal's was having a sell on their Peaches & Cream yarn, so I got stocked up. I finally decided to get it out, and created this fun "Ellie"phant as my oldest calls it. Instead of embroidering the eyes like I did on the here and here, I decided to go with button eyes (cause I was lazy experimenting) which after watching this movie seems totally wrong.

I'm not sure what my oldest will think, she is terrified of that movie, heck I'm terrified of that movie! My hubby didn't listen when I told him it wasn't a kid movie, apparently I don't know jack cause he bi-passed my opinion and let them watch it anyway. He learned quickly that it was a BIG MISTAKE!

Ok back to the subject at hand purple elephants.

What do ya think? Creepy or cute? Should I loose the buttons and embroider the eyes?

Pink Kimono Slippers

I started these adorable little slippers months ago, for some reason (which I am totally oblivious to) I stopped  in the middle I don't usually do that. I found the project partially finished in my yarn stash so I took it out, took it apart and started over. You might be askin why I took it apart and there is a simple answer for that, because I forgot what row I was on and I really dislike goin back and trying to count out the rows it's a pain in the but! That's the same reason I don't like stopping in the middle of crocheting.

Some of you crocheter's out their are probably sayin " there are row markers out there", or" why didn't ya just mark your rows with yarn" , the answer to that is I just don't. I don't have any row markers (little rings you can attach to your rows), and I always end up pulling out the yarn I use for markers by accident. The only time I mark my rows it when I am using a pattern that's worked in rounds that are not joined. Anyway back to the pretty little subject at hand these adorable little slippers.

They turned out really cute. The yarn is a mixed fiber it has acrylic, polyester and nylon in it. These shoes are so stinkin soft I want a pair! My oldest actually asked me if I could make her a pair of these, I think I will have to play with the pattern(since it only goes up to  18 months) and see what I can come up with.

Lacking

Sorry for the lack of posts, I got the flu bug and have been down and out for a couple of days. I have been working on some projects so I will be posting those soon. This month in general might have a lack of posts cause well, the kids are gettin out of school, I am planning our Idaho trip and my calendar is FULL, I have IEP meetings, doctor appointments, cub scout meetings, and pretty much anything under the sun and it all has to get done before I leave.

I have a ton of ideas I have been mulling around, my thoughts keep going to my kitchen so I think it is definitely time to get the cupboards and walls painted so I can decorate cause I have some really fun ideas that I think will look awesome in my space. I keep changing my mind on colors that's partly why I have been ignoring it, but I think I have a pretty good idea of what I want now, I probably won't get much done in the way of the kitchen before I go to Idaho for the summer, but keep an eye out for it.

When my mom and I get to together we sew up a storm, the girls pretty much get new wardrobes, Kaleb usually feels a little left out, but I have some plans to make him some stuff this year (besides pajamas). My mom has also been collecting beads, so I am looking forward to trying my hand at jewelry making! I figure if I don't have much in the way of posts this month and possibly June, July will be FULL of awesome posts and some tutorials too. I know this post is pretty lame, but stay with me AWESOME stuff is to come.

Special Order

A friend of mine asked me to do a news boy cap in red, white and blue for her step daughter for the 4th of July. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but once it was done I fell in love with it and so did my daughter, so I made her one and now guess who else wants one, yup my 2 yr old! She get's so jealous when sister where's her new hat!
I still have to make the star clip to go onto it, but it turned out so great I just had to share!
